My display at Miriam’s Place for the month of March was super fun and super succesful! I am very grateful to everyone who came and supported my efforts, and to Miriam’s Place for hosting me. We raised over $1000 ! I brought home the things that didn’t sell, and you can see them at the top of each section. As always, all the proceeds from my work go to Westside Cares in Colorado Springs. ABOUT MARTY SLAYDENHi! I’m Marty. I used to be a teacher, but now I am an artist. Making things with my hands has brought me joy ever since I was a small child, so it makes me very happy now to do it full time. I enjoy working in various mediums – sewing, needle felting, and encaustic painting but currently my main pursuit is pottery.
