We are constantly bombarded with negativity and hatred on social media and the internet. I would like to balance all that negativity with some positive stuff, so I am currently making lots of flat pieces with words promoting love and compassion. Maybe it won’t change the world, but it can’t hurt. Look for these new pieces under the “Everything else” tab, and let me know if you want one of them. Or if there is a particular quote you would like to see on a plaque, maybe we can work together. As always, all the proceeds from my work go to Westside Cares in Colorado Springs. ABOUT MARTY SLAYDENHi! I’m Marty. I used to be a teacher, but now I am an artist. Making things with my hands has brought me joy ever since I was a small child, so it makes me very happy now to do it full time. I enjoy working in various mediums – sewing, needle felting, and encaustic painting but currently my main pursuit is pottery.
